In a nutshell, its gone from being a semi-numi to a low premium coin- same as any other low premium, (spot+$2)

Oh please

How often do you pick up kooks for $2 over spot, even with fingerprints ?
The reason it's rare is because 99.9% stay in their capsules

Do you really think all those kooks from the 1990s have not been out of their capsules at some point over the past 20 years ?

I let them rub against each other, against loose change and I find myself fondling them a fair bit.

Funny thing 'bout that.

I have had ONE Silver Eagle that I keep on the desk in front of me, and I roll it around my fingers all the time. Nearly worn the bloody thing smooth.

.....now, if I had a Silver Cockatoo......

Good, enjoy it.

Don't get too hung up about the value of that coin...
Carrying one around with you eventually has you valuing everything in ounces, could change your spending habits for the better. Has changed mine.

I would have thought that by carrying one around with you, you soon realise what a waste of time it is carrying yet another thing around actually is. Put it away and look at it at home. Noone is going to be impressed by the shiny trinkets in your pocket.

If I owned my own mint I would mint a coin just for us fondler's. Big hooters on the front and buttcheeks on the back.

I like the way you think! SWAMBO will however not be impressed!
