So I guess getting the silver nicked up should be more of a concern than tarnish. I already regret putting my coins, unprotected, in a Crown Royal bag simply because I like the jingle jangle and it makes me feel like someone from biblical times or at the very least a poor pirate (no buried chest just yet) and was surprised to see there are already slight nicks and scrapes on those coins. And I don't even carry them around so I guess they're just very fragile. But no I don't plan on storing them like this for the long term lol I just haven't bought any protective cases or anything yet. I've only got six ounces so far.
Also, people talk about "milk spots" on Maples. Is that just like little white spots that are hard to remove? Why only maples, because of the purity? I have two maples and they have a brilliant luster, no white spots. Is this a problem that affects them over the long term or do people often have maples shipped to them with these milk spots present?
