Stop buying diamonds?

arent diamonds only worth so much because some group that owns them all only releases a certain amount per year?

Yep & they only sell to a certain amount of "approved buyers" . & if you upset the applecart & dont toe the line they strike you off & wont sell you anymore
 
Diamonds are the wrong kind of shiney. Me & my "soon to be" are conditioned & the below links speak the truth.

If I bought 1x1kg Ag @ $1000 & spot drops I only loose if I sell. So don't sell your diamond ring, that's the principal of it, 10% resale. Vintage rings handed down often don't look really good, buy a good one, if its forever, hand it down. I wish they didn't care but they do

As I understand it, our very own Aussie Diamond miner in the Kimberly told the above mentioned group to "go away very quickly" as they were dictating what they could sell their product for.The Kimberly miner has been selling their pinks and champagnes VERY successfully outside the groups control.(The communique to the Belgians should have started with an "F") Way to go...
 
My girl can't be talked out of investing(uses investing very loosely) in diamonds. I have tried a few times always ends the same, I have tried to get her into metals with no joy, to the point of I can't tell her of my metal buys as she says that's why you have no money.WTF
At least she buys pinks from argyle. I guess it's her money.
Time will tell who was right in the investment game.
