G'day there,
I'm new to this but have learned a lot in the last few years. I come from a poor-ish family (in the sense that everyone works for their money and spends that money on useless crap and never gets anywhere), so i have taken it upon myself to educate myself about the financial world. So far i feel like i just poked my head into the rabbit hole and can't fathom how deep this bitch is.
On one hand this makes me happy because i'm starting to understand more about how to secure my own future, rather than relying on the system to support me. On the other hand it makes me depressed that there are so many people out there that have no idea they've had the Fiat fleece pulled over their eyes for years.
They know they're being duped somehow but try as they might, just can't figure out what is going on and how they are being screwed. Most of my friends believe tax is their biggest financial gripe.
I've always felt that something isn't quite right with this paper system, but didn't know enough about it to pinpoint the problem. I can feel a storm brewing, i can hear the distant thunder of destructive economic distress. Try as they might, the Govt. can't stop the wind, rain and lightning coming in. About a year ago a mate of mine sat me down and showed me the video "end of the road". A light bulb came on. I realised the problem with the fiat was that no matter how much paper money i had in my hands, i would never have anything tangible if the economic shit, hit the fan.
Gold is the answer, or is it? I chose to start with silver due to it's many industrial uses and relative short supply, compared to gold worldwide (so i'm led to believe). I thought about it for a long time and thought, stuff it, it's time to act.
So here they are- 1Kg Perth Mint bar, bought from Ainslie. 1 500gm Ainslie and 2x 10oz bars.

The 2 10oz look fantastic. I love the pattern around the edge, although the others are somewhat ugly. Even the Perth Mint bar.
My reason for stacking is to somewhat secure my savings. I've accumulated this over the last few months and can't wait to grab some more.
Cheers, Ash.
