As we all know 'WillRocks' is doing a great job, expending Time and Effort to provide an alternative medium for SS members to migrate to in case SS becomes a vanishing dream.
There are always behind the scene costs, whether they are tangible costs or personal costs such as allocating family time to a project for the benefit of others.
I cant really help on the tech side but would like to provide a donation for Sundry costs in the here and now or for further down the road.
So here is what I propose

  • I will put up brand new boxed Perth Mint Deloreon 1ounce Neon lighted coin up as a gift
  • People will provide of their own free will without any expectation of gain an amount of $10.
  • Bank account deposit details will be sent to all people with $10 to spare.Can be my deposit details can be Willrocks or another trusted member.We will sort that out as a forum.
  • Each participant will be supporting a community we want to see survive and thrive.
  • I will Randomly select one person and send the Delorean to that person.
  • I will be using the Fish bowl approach to select the person
  • If the Site goes down and Will Rocks is holding the bag of responsibility and there are expenditures, what then?Now is the time to show your support.
  • I will be sending messages out to as many of my trading partners as possible to help.
  • Ill start and contribute my $10.

The owner of the SilverStacker site is absent and all attempts to contact him have failed.

The SilveStackers "servers" only have a limited capacity, and many members have been getting "520" messages when logging on or perhaps posting content or similar which
may indicate the server is nearing capacity.

Or something like that.

We are concerned that the owner "Ben" is ill or has passed and we are worried for his welfare.

hi ya’ll… firstly, thx @REDBACK for donating this delorean for a good cause… yes, SS forum seems to be getting error520-host error… in a simple term, host name: silverstacker.com needs to be renewed annually to keep it floating/online…. However, our good ol’ friend GP has been MIA for abit which gets us worried….:oops: I hope he’s ok…

as to this fundraiser, I believe @REDBACK is not auctioning this delorean… more of ‘fundraising’ of $10 to a ‘petty cash’ account for this forum…thus, this is not an auction, more of ‘lucky-dip’ as long as you donate $10, then you will be in the draw of this lovely delorean…
