LMAO, hopefully the coin is not in their pocket at the time .

I have no fear of this not being legit personally, the business I purchased it from has been in existence here for at least twenty years and the guy was meticulous in his record keeping, peeling a sticker off the box and attaching it to one of the triplicate copy's of the receipt book and explaining that he needed to keep the sticker for tracking and tax purposes when I told him to just leave it on the box (as I just wanted to be out the door before a meteor struck the Earth or I woke up).

I really think it is more the case that they only payed a small amount for it and they were making a profit with the sale. I'm just hoping that the Great white shark coin and the 2001 Millennium one I also saw in the same cabinet are still there when I go back and I can get them for around the same price. Had a quick look around ebay earlier and cant believe my luck. If i wasn't screaming inside I would of being able to take a good and proper look and gone back out and hit SWMBO for some more cash......But shit who's complaining?

So does anybody think it is worth placing a for swap or sale post here on the Stacker site? I really have my heart set on a KG of Pamp or Perth Mint Silver bars and maybe if I'm lucky a few Coins to boot. How would that work logistics wise?

Or should I just chuck it straight on Feebay ? I already sell there and have a two year history but not for anything like this, I was thinking of throwing it up there for $11-1200 as a buy now for a quick flip and heading straight to bullionmark with the proceeds .

Any thoughts and advice would be very much appreciated.:)
 
Dude put that coin straight up on ebay. Don't think twice about it. Offer free registered postage if they pay via bank deposit (so you don't get hit with paypal fees). Then go buy your silver with the winnings.

If it doesn't sell, do a normal bidding auction next time. You'll probably get between 800-1000. Just a guess.
 
You should have listed it as Buy It Now with Best Offer on 30 days. The emails would keep coming in, and when the offer arrives, it is good for 48 hours, and you also have the ability to counter-offer, but when you counter the first offer is no longer on the table - also maybe should have inserted the word Tuvalu in the title.

No probs if the coin doesnt sell in the first listing, relist it but with best offer capability.

The word pawn is derived from the Latin pignus, for pledge, and the items having been pawned to the broker are themselves called pledges or pawns, or simply the collateral.
 
It's the first in the series, it's a pretty awesome design, it's actually associated with an anniversary, it's harder to get a hold of than the others :)
 
Thanks for all the advice and comments people, heres a little follow up for you all,

Before listing this coin on ebay the other night I was doing a little research and checking out the opposition so to speak I came across one coin in particular , It was a splitting image for the coin I had sitting there right beside the PC screen And no ,I dont just mean they looked exactly the same It was the SAME COIN,

The same COA certificate was staring right back at me from the Screen. MMM I thought, have I stumbled on to a forgery racket ? Or was it a more simple explanation?

It just so happened that the people selling the coin also came from the same location as me, and it was also the same shop I had been into that morning, OOP's .

I contacted them through ebay and asked if it was the same coin with the same coa that was being sold , was a bit of a funny reply that I received the next day, turned out that yes it was in fact the same coin I had bought and would I be interested in swapping it for another that he had as it would solve a lot of explaining if a different coa turned up than the one pictured in his auction.

The guy had no idea of the Value of them at all and had started it out on Ebay at $50 , reckons he nearly fell off his chair when he went to cancel the auction and it was at $320 ten minutes after I walked out the door with it.

Anyways I went in this morning and did the swap and the fella gave me a nice 2007 frosted kangaroo Oz coin for my trouble, Reckons he paid spot price for the silver content of the Redbacks plus a couple of Sharks as well, amongst others last year.

Also reckons he will be checking his computer before selling me anything off the shelf in the future as well......DOH

I know, I know.....I was hard up just keeping it together with just the one , I am new at all this after all . I will be picking up the next person with a find like that (If ever again) and shaking them upside down right then and there to see what else is on offer tho .

I'm not complaining tho....

I'll get to say I bought a kg of Silver with fifty bucks one day... or close enough :D
