I'm still thinking about getting 2013 high relief ... haven't decided if premium is good or bad for my taste
 
i went through the same dilemma about the premium for the 2013.
i got it anyway.
believe me, it is stunning and worth every bit.
it's a beautiful display piece

This one looks good but IMO not nearly as pleasing as the 2013 elephant.

I will be getting 5 or so bullion coins and maybe a proof if i like the bullion enough.

The 2013 really is awesome.

Series started around 2004 I believe, mintages were very small in early years but now minted to demand. I've heard something like 1 million of the 2013s were minted.
 
I will be picking up the bullion version when they hit the big sellers in the states, really like my 2013s. Any idea what they will be selling for when released? Thanks.
 
As far as I khow they are minted in Germany and actually have nothing to do with Somalia apart from the name being on the coin! Can't wait to add another to the collection.
