i'm beginning to think that they are trying to clear the 1/2 ouncers by saying the 1 ouncers are unavailable, trying to make ppl think anything is better than nothing!!!
So who stayed up to buy the 2013 Proof Lunar Snakes?

Yea same thing with me and they supposedly put me on the waiting list for the set then they became available again , then after 1/2 hour trying to check out then unavailable again , then I called and asked if since i was on the waiting list before more became available , then they were available would I still be able to get one. They said it could have been a glitch in the system ! What a bunch of BS , Perth Mint is appears to be running a very shady business, what a waste of time.noagenda33 said:

Actually I called twice and on hold for a while , it is not that expensive with a calling card, but it ticks me off that I was on the waiting list before they became available again and they try to tell me it was a glitch!! something stinks here, but sorry for the rant.

yeah the plan was to get down to the mint in person but just not possible today ! Will have to try later in the week but will no doubt be too late, might be time to initiate the great post office hunt....

I simply pee'd myself laughing when I read this link.
It was an unusually wet and windy day in Perth today (still is).
We were all standing in a queue kind of perpendicular to the gate, when a cold front and rain came our way. To avoid getting wet, we huddled under cover to remain slightly warmer and as dry as possible. As things were a little more comfortable there, we started having a chat and didn't move back into queue, much to the dissatisfaction of our more anal brethren.
I had some good discussions, found out one of the blokes worked the coin shop across the road, was amused by some blokes kids climbing the gates (when told not to repeatedly) and found out about others experience with SMSF's. In general the vibe was interesting and quite friendly/supportive. Care was taken to ensure those that arrived first stayed at the front of the queue, as most civilized people tend to support.
I was happy, picked up a the coins I wanted. However, I did have to wait out the front for over 90 minutes before the gates opened.
What was clear to me was the lack of collusion to support the retail activities of others. I have been called many things in my life. However, its the first time I've been referred to as "hired" (LOL).
Stand up comedy next?
