tell me about it. i responded by email after printing and scanning - by that time my internet connection was being shaped to dial-up speed and to attach the file to my email took another whole hour. it was excruciating. still no response but i paid em anyway

i just received my phone order confirmation thing that i have to fax back.... and it was blank!

this happened to my mate. the email attachment was blank when viewing through the email. so we downloaded it and opened it with adobe and all the text was visible.

I got Heidi too, infact she called me. I left my name down at 10:25am Sydney time with the mint. 10:30 started to order online, tried to submit at 10:33am. Couldn't submit the order, system was crashing.

Then my mobile rang, it was a perth mint officer. Ended up taking the order over the phone.

I have yet to receive the confirmation, but I'm sure it will be ok.

IMO, she was nice and friendly =D A++++ experience

Just to let you lot know I bought 10,000 Telstra shares 4 weeks ago at $2.80 a pop and sold today @ $3.05 and got a 14c franked dividend during that time. Total profit in 1 month was $3,900 or a return of 14%. My point? There's plenty of options to invest and make money in than a Lunar bubble !

Of course, your dividends are not always necessarily franked, due to the holding period rule.

You have to own the shares for a continuous period of 45 days or more (not counting purchase and sale days) or 90 days in the case of certain preference shares, to be certain of the franking.

Otherwise, if you receive annual dividend income above $5,000, then your dividends will not be franked, and you will get taxed at your marginal rate.
