Silver Purchase - Thoughts and suggestions welcome!

I love buying PAMP stuff even with the premium. More often than not you can sell with the same premium when spot changes, so you're never really losing out.

The only time you won't be able to sell a PAMP without a premium is if SHTF and silver is 'just' silver.
Agreed. The PAMP people will always pay the same premium as you, so no loss, unless as you point out SHTF, but less than half my purchases are for that purpose.

Even when SHTF, people still buy with a mix of logic and common sense. I think we will find that they will generally accept the minted/proof quality silver over any scrap or junk.

PAMP make some great stuff. I am thinking of buying some pandas, but I don't want to pay any sort of premium for them. CHINA = cheap goods :)
:| PAMP bars have the highest premiums of any bars on earth
Both UBS and Valcambi, Hereaus etc all hold higher premiums than PAMP. PAMP is one of the cheaper internationally recognised bars available, I have found. And you always sell them with the same premium.

What's Liz?
You are right about the premiums, getting them back, but you can buy a Valcambi cheaper than a PAMP.

Don't waste your time trying to find someone selling a Valambi for more than a PAMP beause I'm sure you can.
PAMPS are still the most expensive bars of bars that have a high number of sales. I don't know a single person who's purchased any of the three you named. And I could find you some more than those.

No reason to nitpick, PAMPS are not the least expensive bars, that's for sure ;)

At least we understand a person doesn't lose money buying a PAMP, they just can't buy as much gold as other bars.

PAMP do have the foresight of using their carded products as measuring devices, too.

Check it out.
I admire products that help prepare us for the inevitable SHTF scenario!
I'd hate to pay that much and have to buy a separate ruler!
;)

No nit-picking, I just wanted to make the point that PAMP isn't 'the most expensive' on Earth. In fact, if you know where to buy, the premiums are only negligible.
The other refiners I mentioned, you may not have heard of because the investment grade bullion they deal in is probably sold more commercially than on our/your local markets. They are some of the most prestigious refiners in the world.
