Silver on Amazon

That's crazy. I never even thought to look on there. Their prices are usually competitive with most other things. I wonder why it's so high.

I think that an operation like Amazon could not sell them any cheaper. They are not a bullion dealer so probably use a retail model to buy their metals and thus have to sell to make a profit on their purchase price.

Mainly because they aren't selling. They offer the platform for others to sell through. Most of the stuff I see at walmart.com is being shipped from other companies.

But what's the difference in that selling platform and eBay where prices are reasonable (even buyouts)?

I know tobacco, for example, is really expensive at walmart but in general the prices for their other goods are in most cases about as cheap as you're gonna get as far as a retail store goes. I've heard people say it's because Walmart doesn't want the 'image' associated with tobacco, and that may be true, but I wonder if there's not more to it than that.

I've stumbled across silver on Amazon by accident. Sellers are playing the odds, kind of like the "Nigeria" scammers, hoping 1 fool out of 10,000 will buy. And they do. In the US, half of the population can't name the Vice President. We're a nation of morons.

Does anybody know what Obamas last name is?

There is also less sellers of silver on amazon so less to compare price. Sellers on Ebay can't get away with seller overprised bullion because all the other more affordable listing would pop up first. I can't imagine why anyone would try to purchase bullion from amazon!

Don't kid yourself, the world is chock full of morons, it's not just America. And as bad as the US is (and I agree that its pretty bad in some respects) it gets much worse in other places. You have many countries that believe that their religion is the most important thing above all else, even more important than basic human rights, countries like these make the US look like a model of excellence. We have our problems but it could be allot worse, all you have to do is visit some of these places and it really hits home how lucky we are (warts and all). And don't get me wrong, I'd love to see big changes for the US and every other country that has slowly become insane/retarded. We should start by outlawing religion and let the adults (those of us who don't believe in the sky people) make policy based on intelligent decisions.

America's problem is not "religion". America's problem is that it has turned it's back on GOD. The term, "religions" can rarely be used in a general sense. All religions are not the same. They do not worship the same GOD. And intelligence is worthless without wisdom. Plenty of fools are intelligent.

I do not want to sound rude, but how old are you?
I have noted in other posts that you ask questions that most adults should know the answer .
Now we have you saying that countries that price religion over all else are worse than stupid people.
I am sure i will not be the only one to notice this, but frankly this shows a huge degree of immaturity and ignorance.
The western world of usa,Aust, Europe are in the minority as far as population and society goes.
I think you really need to travel to get a REAL idea of what the world has to offer (in real life).
From what i read of you i see ONLY youtube and other such sites knowledge coming from you.

EDIT:I should add i am NOT religious myself, but fully understand the power religion has on the masses ,and respect this power.

I disagree with your point of view. I don't see any point to a longer response.
