Another way you can fake silver looking nuggets is with good old solder. Yep thats right, get a roll of solder wire and heat it with a blowtorch for example and you can shape it anyway you like and looks pretty much like silver.
 
Greetings from the Great White North. I've got photos of the real thing, from my own Ag mines. Real jack frost crystals in quartz and calcite. None of that shiny, fakey arsenic-nickel-cobalt rosette stuff.
