Manipulated or not, it seems to have stabilised around the AU$33.80 mark over the last few days (queue new massive fluctuations...)
In this case, I guess I don't need to sell my SLV bought on the 17th March?
I got some in April and it seemed way cheap back then haha. I'm holding mine for now but who really knows? I'm betting on more of a rise.
I know silver will rise over the next couple of years, but it's really too quick so it points to paper trading.

Some of this does have todo with the aus dollar.
USD is sucking right now compared to a month or so ago.
A drop in silver price in USD and a rise of the AUD, its actually surprising the silver price in AUD has held this well
Sitting over $30 is impressive really.

Back to the days when ASE's were cheaper than Roos.
The USD sucks now because they are going for herd immunity which, as crazy as it sounds, is actually the best strategy because you want to get as many people infected as possible while it's still summer because the virulence and contagiousness will go up many folds in winter. By the time the flu season starts in Dec, many people would have already been infected and developed some antibodies.
I havent heard anything about that here. The herd immunity thing.
Half the jobs have already been destroyed and now they want herd immunity haha. Sounds about right.

No government that has elections is going to say they want herd immunity and expect to win a re-election. So far, the only country that declares this openly is Sweden. For the case of the US, the Democrat states and cities are leading the way to herd immunity starting with NYC which probably has already achieved effective herd immunity.
We're already going into August, there's only 4 months left to finish developing and testing the vaccines and not to mention to manufacture the one billion doses, the minimum the world needs. So it won't happen until at least the middle of next year. The US is not going and can't do the type of quarantine and social distancing that countries that could control the virus are doing - mandatory wearing of masks in public and workplaces, compulsory quarantine in hotels and quarantine facilities for travellers and compulsory detention in covid facilities for all infected people until they are fully cured.
