SILVER IS BETTER THAN GOLD BECAUSE...

* You can buy more for the same amount of cash.

* If you misplace a few ounces of silver, you will hardly notice. If you misplace a few ounces of gold, you will feel really bad.

* There is far more variety available to collectors of silver.

* Silver is far less likely to be the object of criminal attention.

* Fake silver is more obvious than fake gold. More focus is placed on creating quality fake gold items than on silver...

* ... but if you do inadvertently buy a fake silver coin or small bar, you haven't lost much compared to the equivalent sized gold item.

* Silver is within the reach of many more people

* More silver is lost through industrial use than gold

* Silver necessary to industry, gold is predominantly a luxury.

* You can't really go too far wrong starting out with silver.

* Tubes of silver Libertads are awesome

Silver ages and develops character unique to each item when it tones. Gold not so much so

Oh, very true. Old, naturally toned silver can be very beautiful.

......at this point in time the ratio to gold is at or near the far end and when the price of both gold and silver turn bullish again, silver will gain ground on gold on a percentage basis like it did last time and the ratio will tighten like it did last time, and I will swap some of my silver for gold when the ratio gets to 32 again like it did in 2011.

Can't beat gold for durability though, particularly if you are intending to bury it underground for any length of time.

Much easier to roll up to goldstackers with 1 kg of gold in your pocket rather than a trolley with 79 kg of silver.

Both are good and nice. Gold easier to liquidate and carry during emergency. Silver is more affordable for stacking and collection

Because...silver makes a great decoy to set around the house for the burglar to find and think that's the best you got.

Because the GSR is nearly 80:1

Because it gives the illusion that it's going to skyrocket when it's actually more unlikely than not.
