Silver 1kg bar question

When did PM pressed 1 kg bars start getting a premium ?
I got offered Engelhard 1kg bars today & I knocked them back because
I said I don't believe I could sell them for $100 premium
So no thanks

I realise when selling a " collectible " item that 90% of the value is the story & or numbers

But where's the story to back the premium ?

1980's to earlier is being use to describe these bars. That PM bar is from the late 70s/80s era.

I think its correct too as vintage usually means "from a previous era/period of time"

Antique on the other hand by some laws must refer to the item being at least 100 years old.
