Welcome back aus ..I knew you couldnt keep away. .All your grasshoppers were trying to keep your spirit alive but they cant hold a candle to the real mccoy.
Time to get that post count back up.
I'd like to think those people who spoke along a similar avenue of ideology in my absence did so according to their own merit, rationale and ideology.
They were not to be lead or considered one of my 'flock' in as much as independent and respectful thinkers in their own right.
I always encourage people to think. Collectivist, bandwagon ideology is a disease of the modern age, but the people are slowly starting to wake up.

Great to see you back Auspm!!
Regardless of what people think of Ayn Rand I feel 'Atlas Shrugged' is a brilliant novel which should be read and debated by all senior school students.
Extremely powerful and thought provoking, the novel seems more relevant now than ever as we witness western governments increasingly debt burdened due to ever increasing social welfare promises and entitlements.
I am not saying that I am against welfare, I just feel that the novel raises philosophical issues that are not explored during senior schooling.
It doesn't matter.
The mob rule this world and will continue to suffer the extra ordinary injustices that seem to be the status quo because they refuse to acknowledge (or seriously consider) alternatives to what they have been conditioned and indoctrinated to know and trust.
It's a brand of psychology called 'normalcy bias' where the human mind can be trained to suffer injustice and inhumanity to extreme levels and still not want to alter course.
For all of the modern technology and advancement human civilisation has acquired in the last few centuries, if you can take the bias blinkers off and look into our (relatively recent) past it would be clear to any unbias mind that on many levels, the human race is slipping into undeniable decay.
The words of Ayn Rand are simply and interpretation of much earlier doctrine.
If Ayn Rand is the mother of
Objectivism,
Aristotle is clearly the father of it.
Unfortunately, we live in an age where the unpalatable alternative is dismissed with extreme prejudice without clear thought or consideration, such is the way of normalcy bias and the mob rule.
Hence, whilst it's certainly ideal to expose people to an alternative course and offer the 'red pill', reality will sadly show that many will opt to take the blue one instead.
Humanity will not turn from it's current course until it has no choice.

Welcome back Auspm,
I'll send you a John Galt 1oz if you can get your post count back over 7'000 before Christmas.
Well I could spam the forums with crap, but I'm sure you'd rather quality input over quantity?
