2014 Tokelau Silver Lady of Fortune 1 Ounce (oz) Proof (PF) in Original Government Packaging (OGP)
The Lady of Fortune is a personification of luck itself, and symbolizes the unpredictable nature of life. She is capable of bringing both good luck and bad. On this coin, the Lady of Fortune stands resplendently upon the rota fortunae, the wheel of fortune, representing an infinite cycle of success and tragedy. Behind her, the sun sets over the ocean and a ship with wind in its sails. Sailors revered the Lady of Fortune, needing her favor for a safe voyage. For this reason, she was often carved as the ship's figurehead, and wine spilled on the deck before a voyage as an offering.
Surrounding the central image, in stunning proof quality, are mythical sea creatures, basking in the abundance offered by Fortuna. The lettering Fortuna Venit also appears on the coin meaning, fortune comes / happiness comes.

The coin is set with several accessories which include a case which its design evokes a pre-hispanic brazier specially designed to keep and exhibit the coin; a certificate of authenticity with serial number; a book allusive to the Aztec Calendar's history, minting and coin's issue; as well as a magnifying glass to observe the fine detail of the piece.

The Aztec Calendar. At the upper part, parallel to the coin frame and following its edge is the legend "CALENDARIO AZTECA" (AZTEC CALENDAR). On the right, is the Mexican mint mark, while on the left is the "$" sign followed by the number " 100" . On the left hand side, parallel to and following the edge, is the year of minting followed by the legend " 1 kg PLATA PURA LEY .999" ( 1 kg PURE SILVER FINENESS .999). The frame is flat.

In the center is a sculptural relief of the National Shield encompassed by the legend "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" (UNITED MEXICAN STATES). Surrounding this, following the edge of the coin frame are reproductions of the different National coats of arms used throughout Mexico's history, such as the eagle which appears in the center of the first page of the Codex Mendocino. The frame is flat.

That is an amazing coin! I believe the 2013 issue is the last year this coin will be minted so in fact one could conceivably collect the complete 7 coin set of Aztec 1 kilo coins. The 2013 edition has the second lowest mintage of all years of this uber-beautiful coin.

Not mine but I wish it were...the most beautiful piece of silver I have ever seen: http://www.ebay.com/itm/China-2012-...056?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item233b0a7b68

I contacted the New Century Shanghai Mint and learned that the actual mintage of this medal is nine. As with numerous other valuable Chinese medals, the maximum mintage is certainly not the actual mintage (the actual mintage of this medal is obviously much lower than the maximum mintage).

Also, I found this medal for sale in the Chinese coin marketplace for more than $3,000...which doesn't include freight/shipping charges. So I'd say that this listing with it's free shipping and at least $55 in eBay bucks returned to you is by far the sweetest deal that you will ever see for such a rare piece.

Members (myself included) here on the SS forum have purchased silver medals (much smaller) from this seller (Thincat) and so this seller can be vouched for as fair and reputable as well as providing very fast shipping to the West.

Sorry I dont buy silver based on look's... I buy it because it's silver.. This isn't a wedding ring we are looking for.. People that buy silver based on looks buy it cause it's a hobbie.. meaning that they dont care about investments nor about the price.

People like me buy it to store wealth so what little we have are not eaten by the government

If what you were saying were actually true, then you would only be buying stuff like this: http://www.providentmetals.com/10-troy-ounces-999-fine-silver-shot.html

People who buy beautiful silver coins/medals are almost never buying them just for looks alone. There is an investment component in such purchases whether or not you recognize this fact.
