Hi guys,

I am just getting back into stacking after 12 months off and I am wanting to know, what would be easier for me to sell off in the future. I am looking at either getting 1oz Buffalo rounds or 10oz NTR bars. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Than you

There is not much love for the NTR bars, compared to the other brands, so the premiums are low.

The Buffaloes are not particularly collectable so I would not expect them to appreciate much beyond what spot does. You won't be able to charge a high premium for them unless you get really lucky.

I would just go for the cheapest as the profit you make in the future will be based on what you pay for them now.

I was also considering buying some NTR bars and rounds just for the value of the silver and the fact that they are the cheapest way to buy silver.

Then I realized that Scottsdale also have bars and rounds but are slightly dearer but they look a hell of a lot nicer.

In general though, you are better off paying the extra to get actual coins.

I always recommend Canadian Maples or Perth Mint coins for this reason.

What do you think of Scottsdale bars and rounds?

In Australia,it's Perth mint bars, for coins kooks or lunars,
Slight premium to start with but potentially better returns in the future.
Compared to spot plus 1% premium now and in the future for ntr stuff
Liquidity is almost as important as profit

Love the Scottsdale 5 oz bricks, one day I shall build a wall from them :) I only need a few thousand more :p haha

Ok i might look at the Scottsdale if they have a better resale value. I was just looking at the NTR bars just pretty much for the silver weight.

In terms of pricing where would be the best pricing available. Ive bought from Bullion Bourse before and they were excellent.

Get a mix of both bars (10oz) and Rounds (1oz) - I also rate OPM silver bars as the premiums are low.. i was buying PM bars but released because heaps of other aussies are OVERPAYING for bars was not a good enough reason for me also.. if you want a similar bar get a Bullion Club bar for around $10 less.

I think the Australian bullion market is opening up now so Perth Mints Ransom like pricing will turn investors onto cheaper product.. after all its only bullion -- as long as we can feel safe its legit than paying extra for a snub value of a perth mint stamp is ludicris IMO.

Agree NTR bars are not at all popular in Australia.. i think we fear fakes --- also Scottsdale has fakes floating around.

Kooks and Lunars are ok if you want to take a stab at paying more and potentially hold coins with increasing premiums over spot.

1for1

If you wanna take a stab at a cheap 1oz round, take a look at the XAG Intrinsic Tender rounds made by Goldstackers.

$5 a coin over spot for singles and $3 over spot for (pretty sure) 100+. 2013 mintage was 16000 coins which is tiny compared to kooks/koalas.

Only bugger is the 2013 is sold out and the 2014 hasn't arrived yet. :(

If you want cheap bullion that will sell quickly I'd highly suggest the PM 10oz bar.

Cheap rounds are incredibly hard to move in this country.
