Scottsdale Silver

I want to get everyones general opinion on Scottsdale Silver. I have ordered 2-10 oz's bars from them over the last 2 weeks and I must say, they are beautiful! Compared to many other high-end private mints, they seem to carry a lesser premium and I honestly, it surprises me. They claim to be the "Mercedes Benz" of bullion but their prices do not reflect that (NO COMPLAINTS THOUGH). Also, I just don't see a big market for them. Given their competitive pricing I would think people would be knocking doors down for their bullion?

I am considering picking up 20 of their 'Omnia' round, right now they are coming in at under $36 and FREE shipping (rare find).

Looking for some suggestions/comments, etc.

Link below to their 'Omnia' coins.

Lucky you living in the states for shipping reasons, not for any other reasons though

I don't know why but it bothers me that they don't have reeded edges.

Is that weird?
I picked up some of the Scottsdale rounds in a group buy on another forum, very nice looking rounds. Come packaged in sealed sheets instead of tubes which is also nice.

Lots of private mint rounds aren't reeded.

Scottsdale Silver is my favorite mint behind PM and RCM, bloodly love the omnia rounds, I haven't got any of their bigger stuff myself, I also like the look of their hand poured bars and the idea behind the stackers

Yea, the stackers are really nice. I prefer the reserves though just because I don't want to pay the premium for the ability to stack. I don't take them out of the mint plastic anyway so they wouldnt stack right regardless.

Glad to hear there are other Scottsdale fans out there. Now they have to start accepting checks and they will be my go-to mint.

And in case anyone is interested, I spoke with them last week and they are in the process of implementing a process for check's and different types of online payments. I'm patiently waiting....

I love the stacker bars, although i only have two to stack. Just for the cuteness factor I got a few 1/10th oz rounds, I know they have a high primium but I might use them as payment from the tooth fairy when the kids loose more teeth. :D

^^ Great idea. I want to pick up a bunch of the 5g bars... the premium is killer though!

I wish they made a 10oz in the same style as the 5g. I would be ALLLLLLLLLLLL over them!

I bought a bunch of 1/10th's for sh*ts and giggles and now I really like them and will get more. Throw a few in with big sales and it really seems to make the buyers day when they receive some free tiny bits of silvery goodness.

10 Stacker premiums aren't too bad I think-$10, maybe $15, per bar over PM prices if you know where to get them. Very easy to resell too, as with any of the Scottsdale products.

I think for the price and quality of their product, they will become one of the better brands to be stacking.

I want some of their hand poured stuff, I just don't like paying the large premiums they have, like $4/oz over spot!

I'm waiting for some shares to liquidate and I'll be picking up 20 Omnia's, 2 more 10oz reserves and a few of the Noahs Arks :)

I should of got it all last night when it came to 36oz shipped!

Go the Omnia's, they were my first purchase of rounds, and they are beautiful in the flesh.

Cool, I'm definitely excited about getting these. They look beautiful on the site and people keep saying they look even better in person. Win/Win.

I just got some of their fractionals. I've always wanted a few oz in smaller than 1 oz, and these are so cool and a kind of like a set.

I love idea of the 5g bars as tooth fairy or other prizes, but don't think I'll ever pay the premium on more than just a literal few.

Their 1oz and up premiums are close to other private mint bullion if you compare credit card price to credit card price and can take advantage of their free shipping (don't know if that's always or a holiday thing) here in the US.
