The new Scottsdale 1/2 oz rounds... I think they look really nice.

But, then I see that they actually look like a parking token.
Is this the worst looking coin you've ever seen?
It looks like something you'd find the bottom of a cereal packet.

this is good for the price, i would buy them, although i do agree with your statements haha
 
Hmm...the more I look at them, the more I actually want a bunch of my own.

Definitely not terrible but I guess the words "HALF" written like that are a little unusual for a SS design.

Scottsdale Silver is in Arizona. You can buy direct from them. Free shipping on orders over $500. You have to buy the half ounce rounds in tubes of 20.
 
I think they are cool, and given i paid $17 each im loving them even more.. nothing could be uglier than the perth mints s2 bullion tiger.. its all relative.. 2012 koala? most of the random half ounce stuff has big words for half ounce.. just an industry standard for rounds. Some people really like the manish-good-looks of QE2 of the reverse of bullion it appears.

i am stoked i got a bunch of these and am happy most forum members seem to dissagree this is ugly.

Not sure where your coming from really. But congrats buying them.
 
I think the scottsdale coins look a bit cheap to be honest.Most Canadian and US coins are bland and crappy. I'd rather buy Perth mint plain and coloured coins and S2 tigers :p. I rather like the tiger design, it kills the mouse and ox thats for sure. The coloured tiger is awesome.

These ones do look like tokens and there the ones i'd flick on the floor of the car.

The old Adventure World tokens look better. PMSL

I disagree: I rather like the tiger design, it kills the mouse and ox thats for sure ( seriously? IMO the bullion tiger leaves much to be disired, in hand it looks incomplete

The tiger is a cooler animal than ox or mouse but in terms of PM S2 lunar id rank the mouse and ox far ahead because the look really nice. Please tell me your happy with the bullion tigers stripe detail.. its just pathetic.. IMO easily the worst bullion of the entire s1 and s2 series gold or silver.. thought the s2 trouser snake (gold dragon) is a little funny also.

As a silver-is-silver buy, I'm liking them and gonna grab a few. Cheaper per oz than Omnias.. just waiting for a drive lower before I push the button. Fractional silver for a smaller premium than single ozts? Win win :)
 
By the way, what size are these (dia)? I want to get some caps when I order them and don't want to have to wait until I receive them before I know what size to order.. Scottsdale site has no info.

That's what we need! SS cereal that comes with a real prize in the packet.. That would get me more excited about breakfast. :D
