ok i've done enough grunt work someone else take this... please post the link to where they're claiming
they've discovered that proof girl could indeed return down the road yet again... someone said it was
on "their site" but posted no link... i couldn't find anything stating anything like that but didn't exhaust
every nook or cranny
 
i really see zero rationale for why they'd ever want to even attempt
to bring FG back... hell they have Heidi.. you guys ever check out
her site and bio/resume... not as if she's a one hit wonder
 
sbss wants to have many finishing, wow 30 coins with a few types and proof

there will be re-used with different years of bullets :)

that would make the whole set close to 120 ounces :( so many and too long.

I woke up today and came to the office still annoyed with them that i could not place an order with CC#

Im Salty i guess you could say. Oh well i guess ill go grab an Engelhard 10oz Bar for $320 at my LCS. I got a nice hand poured yesterday and today ill get a little pressed bar in OMP.

Looks like SBSS lost out on a buyer by not fixing a problem that should be a no brainer. This just shows they don't have their shit together at all. I make purchases at least 3 times per week not including ebay which is pretty much every day. I was planning on buying at least 4-5 of each one yesterday and then buying 4-5 on each release. If you calculate that it over the coarse of a year i would be a decent customer but i guess they don't care unless you are a dealer.
 
well i stand corrected did see that youtube comment about striking the design yet again down the road
seems like a legit comment... does this apply to both BU and proofs? only change being the year stamp?
 
if they do decide they're gonna do restrikes of all these designs at some future point
they should once every 12 months do a complete overhaul of the reverse shield

don't merely change the date stamp and assume that'll be enough... DON'T KID YOURSELF
if at the end of 4 years 4 different FG's have come out but they all have different reverses
doesn't have to be radically different... but heck something different above date stamp

then FG collectors will want to collect all 4 designs... if it's jsut 4 different date stamps?

by the way... here's a prediction
within 6 months they'll be striking 1/2 versions of these medallions
setting them in bezels w/ necklaces and selling them for $100 each
they'll advirtise it right there next to the $20 dvd on why you need
to buy silver :lol:

slacker/libertairian/emo/hipster what have you prefer American Apparel 50/50 poly-cotton blend
NOT 100% COTTON

anyways thought everyone knew that but then again i've printed thousands of tshirts for bands
organizations etc Every band that wanted to sell t-shirts and who were smart chose to pay a few
extra bucks and print the logo on AA 50/50

you go w/ that crappy 100% no-name cotton blend and you get to sell 4 or 5... AA has beautiful
t-shirts that are tailored specifically to women.... ultra soft 50/50 blend... why don't you have
a picture of a girl in the t-shirt?

why on earth are the heads of the t-shirt models cut off? you guys are suppose to
try to be selling some sort of "movement?"

yeah agree with that? ok good... so here's what you do you take pictures of both
men and women actually wearing the tshirts and you take those pictures of them
OUTSIDE somewhere around town... ie... a girl outside a coffeshop or some crap like
that

pick a girl as a model who wears glasses tatoos are ok.... the picture of the guy should
not be intimidating... it's ok if he is great looking but if he is make sure he is short not
tall... if he is tall he can't be super good looking... too much of a coincidence and people
will know he's a hired model

put up pictures of the models giving the thumbs up in the picture... this says... look
i'm spreading the SILVER GOSPEL... i'm doing my part now you do yours and buy one
of these damn t-shirts

all you guys are doing now w/ this cropped off head generic picture of a t-shirt is saying

which i'm just gonna assume represents SBSS but i could be 100% wrong
about this... DYODD

was told that yes "every design WOULD BE USED IN SUCCESSIVE YEARS but in
smaller time frames"

i suggested they do something like a FG#2 same girl but designed w/ FG in a
new unique pose.... NOW THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING!!!! now that would
create buzz

he also mentioned fractionals as well which we all probably have been expecting
he seemed pretty dang confident that all the haters would be proven wrong
he may be right but there are a lot of ways to roll this thing out wrong

these aren't sneakers... coins/medallions designs mintage limits proof limits
run length times... consumer sentiment... all this stuff is super duper fragile
when it comes to what they're supposedly trying to do....

printing generic rounds is one thing... art medallions is another thing... don't try
to be both which will be the temptation
 
ok i thought there was a pretty decent chance someone would
list a Proof FG on the bay at 12:01 am for $800 :lol:

alas they waited a few hours and only put it up for $119.00
he's making a mistake in his listing format by group 10 together
at this price point imo

he's using the right format in my opinion in listing an available
quantity of 10 obo but since he's listing 10 at once i'd have
priced it at $135 obo

basically he's saying i only have 10 of these things and am dumping
them all right now if i can

or he's aware there might still be that closing window whereby he
can flip these and still have time to run over to the retailers b4
they run out of their dwindling supply of proofs
 
btw provident still has proofs available for sale
in fact they have them available for "PRE SALE!!!"

it's the pre sale for the discontinued proof... anywhooo

heres the deal... provident has them as pre-sale as they're
arriving March 8th i think it was... that or the 6th

they only have a few hundred coming in and they won't
oversell... as their computer system will sort and deduct
orders out of arriving final proofs

now again... following my chat w/ the online rep on the SBSS
site these final proof sales should NOT change final mintage
numbers as posted on the SBSS site

but again be careful in how many of these you decide to purchase
because there are possible indications that they might be MINTING MORE
OF THIS IDENTICAL DESIGN IN A FEW MONTHS! DYODD

but it's still a buy if you ask me just be aware of this possibility

and they're doing this 1day only sale of the dual finish proof
so... you know what i'm wondering don't you

will they be selling this this same exact coin next year w/
a different date?

Slave queen and there it is 2 varieties ready to be put into the
cart... now it's not showing any mintage figures... so a little confusing
why is it confusing? because....

you click on SBSS fresh and up pops the march 1st only promotion
for the sticker + dual finish SQ.. and the COA pops up and red numbers start ticking
and i'm like... oh goodness only 300 something sold and only 24hours!!!!
... but wait

is this the same dual finish proof that has been up there for a while
now... sorry i'm late to this party just trying to figure all this out
on the fly

ok now obviously if you're shelling out money for this proof a bumpersticker
should be included free... because its cheap advirtisement for SBSS
most especially if you're just starting up... but i see why they did it
its a good excuse to throw up a promotion and be able to say 1 day only?

do i still love Freedom Gril and Slave Queen? you bet i do but ummmmm
durrrrr uhhhhhhh.... i feel like i'm reading Agatha Christie everytime i'm hit

ok now as of 7:16 est... its show 0362 in red numbers on the COA that pops
up as part of this march 1st SQ bumpersticker promotion... now keep in mind
when you first open this page and the promo pops up the numbers start climbing
up from about 0328... but all this is really a moot point right? because
on the SQ shop tabs it doesn't show any mintage figure for SQ proofs period...
so who cares how theese numbers on the COA w/ red numbers changes because
they only end up being added to the already minted SQ dual proofs and those
figures are not anywhere on the site to begin with

okie dokie... so hopefully hopefully... if i click on this promo a little later the red
numbers will continue to read only 0362 indicating that this is only a generic
image of what a COA looks like and represents nothing else... i'll be grabbing
my popcorn

all this is important because i was speaking w/ SBSS online agent and there was
some confusion i think about which coin they had mintage numbers on and which
one they didn't anyway i was confused is all i know... then we got cut off but
b4 i could get final clarity... i'm gonna try to ring in about these the dual SQ's tomorrow
cause i wanna get some of the proofs but can't pull the trigger as it stands
