50,000 to be minted this year, although it would be nice to know how these will be sold/advertised.. Does anyone know anything about the Indian coin market?

I wonder if this coin is CGT exempt as well, as it has numismatic potential, possibly? (FYI; in the UK Sovereigns and Britannia coins are exempt from capital gains tax).

... and usually very expensive.

You can get them though, as I was offered a new Indian sovereign earlier in the year. The seller wanted 800, so obviously I declined!

I suspect in 2018, the demand will be even higher as collectors will want to pair a 2018 I with their 1918 I sovereign. So expect some more crazy prices then.
