Ron Paul: Legalize and Untax Gold and Silver!

How you can be taxed on profits of real money gain as opposed to paper money loses is beyond me. If I keep my money in the bank shouldn't I get a rate of inflation tax rebaten as I've essentially suffered a loss?

your logic is flawless - however governments ignore this so that they can steal from you by piggybacking on top of the theft caused by the central banks who steal from you via the inflation they directly create/cause!

Central banks and governments are the two greatest enemies of individual freedoms and the property of those individuals...

CONFIRMED: Ron Paul WON Minnesota!

Beat me to it That Guy, my bet is that Paul will easily with the minimum 5 states. If the Santorum guys really get behind Paul in the states that have already voted and are still electing delegates, this could get interesting.

FreedomWorks, Dick Armey's attempt to hijack the original tea party movement, is apparently on board with HR 1098!

Dear FreedomWorks member,

As one of our million-plus FreedomWorks members nationwide, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to cosponsor H.R. 1098, the Free Competition in Currency Act of 2011. Introduced by Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), the bill would repeal federal legal tender laws and tax laws that penalize the use of gold and silver coins as money. The Free Competition in Currency Act would help restore sound money by allowing Americans to choose a currency among competing currency that works best for them.

Article 1, Section 10 of the Constitution clears states that "No State shall ... coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts." Unfortunately, Congress passed unconstitutional lender tender laws in 1965 which force Americans to use Federal Reserve Notes issued by the Federal Reserve. These legal tender laws have granted the central bank a monopoly on currency. This is problematic since the Federal Reserve has significantly devalued the currency that we are forced to use.

Americans should be free to use whatever currency they desire. The Free Competition in Currency Act would make it legal to use commodity money in personal economic transactions. Choice is good because it allows for currency competition. The paper dollar would have to compete with other forms of currency. The prospect of Americans using alternative currencies would encourage the Federal Reserve to stop inflating the money supply.

People must be free to use a currency that they trust. This is the first step to restoring sound money in America. I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to cosponsor H.R. 1098, the Free Competition in Currency Act today.

Sincerely,

Matt Kibbe

You are clinging to a delusion.

Should we assume that Rand Paul's endorsement of Romney was some sort of Jedi Mind Trick?

These are not the candidates you're looking for.

Romney Greeted by Ron Paul Supporters 03:35 p.m. CET (8:35 a.m. EST) - Mitt and Ann Romney were greeted upon arriving for a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk by hundreds of people lining the narrow streets here, some of whom held signs for another U.S. presidential candidate, Ron Paul.
The large sign read "Polish Choice R. Paul" with a photograph of Paul.
Lol in your face Mitrack Rombama

Mark Spitznagel On Ron Paul's Grand Shi Strategy
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/mark-spitznagel-ron-pauls-grand-shi-strategy
Throughout history, perhaps the clearest and most pedagogical example of shi at work has been in the Chinese board game weiqi (pronounced "way-chee"). In this simple yet most complex and calculated of games, opponents (one with black stones and the other with white) each try to surround the most territory on a square grid. The obvious initial strategy is to dive for the corners (the easiest territory to surround) in pursuit of immediate points. The extreme example in this picture shows that li strategy's allure yet great disadvantage.

GoBoard-293x3002.jpg

White is far ahead in terms of tangible territory right now. But black has established a strategic advantage and intangible edge by moving into the center to command the rest of the board. Black, employing the indirect and circuitous shi strategy, seeks future opportunistic potential, rather than applying direct force like the chess player bent on annihilation. Although white has scored at least 13 points out of the gate, and black has scored nothing, black is well-positioned for an eventual, but patient victory.
Always watch the other hand
