Reputable Ebay Seller with realistic prices.

Can any recommend a reputable ebay seller who also does not inflate their prices, ebay sent me a $30 coupon to use and I would like to purchase something for my stack., cheers
 
Depends on what sort of items you are looking to stack. Different sellers offer different types of products. Be as specific as you can and you will find that forum members can help you better.

Have you actually look around on ebay?

I actually thought some people would have some favorite and trusted sellers on eBay they would like to share, I guess the question is a little more complicated for people than I expected.
 
I've purchased from MCM and Apmex on ebay. Apmex had a deal for 10 world coins on ebay this week with free shipping that I took advantage of.

Right, it's not that there aren't trusted sellers on ebay, it's just that we need to know what type of coins are you interested mostly in. It becomes a vastly more easy question to answer then.

You want raw ASE's in any beat up condition? You want high grade gold bullion Libertads? You want proof silver coins from the NZ Mint in their OGP? You want raw 5 oz ATB bullion coins? You want high graded 5 oz ATB "P" coins? Slabbed Chinese Pandas from the 1980's or modern raw Chinese medals? Different sellers for different products.

I'll start this by saying I'm very new to this so I'd recommend looking around more before taking my word for it, but having said that, I looked around for several days before choosing a seller, and was very satisfied with my choice. First I looked into APMEX, which is reliable and priced well, but the shipping prices are NOT reasonable ($9.99 seems to be the minimum for even just one 1oz coin) so I looked into eBay. There were a couple of "big" guys to choose from, which is a better bet because they're more of a business than an individual and therefore more established and reliable. Always look at feedback, read the negative and neutrals. The one I chose is Aydin_coins. Prices are very reasonable (most are bids but you can find buy it now options too) and shipping was super fast. He actually shipped it on Saturday and many people on eBay don't do this. I also think you'll only get fake coins if you buy from individuals rather than these businesses. The unique properties of silver make it very easy to test with various methods anyway if you're ever in doubt. Best of luck :)

let me do a little maths here,

Cheapest 1 oz Silver round wholesale price : $22/22.5 + 10-20% profit + 10% for ebay fees + 3.5% paypal + $5-$6 registered shipping

If you are getting 1 oz of silver for less than $30 from ebay, chances of being a fake is very high.
 
Well the seller I mentioned has many bids ending at $25 (free shipping) I chose the buyout method for a grand total of $27.60. It was an American Silver Eagle 2014. Just for fun, I weighed it, did the "ice test" which was really cool to see how thermally conductive silver is, also made sure it wasn't magnetic. It's not fake :)
 
I've just started to refine my own silver (More as a hobby than for the end of the world). I've been looking for broken jewlrey or scrap silver, but it looks like everyone is selling right at melt value. Why would people sell at full melt value, because then who buys it if they can't profit off it?
I could see that price for usuable items, but if it's just broken crap, and it costs me more to have it shipped to me than it is actualy worth to melt it down, why would I buy it? Hoping the value goes up some day?

Crojo, I think there are a lot of reputable sellers selling on eBay. If you are worried about fakes and if you have a free $30 coupon then don't be afraid to use it with any of the well known dealers who also sell on eBay...there are plenty of them. The one thing I will remind you to be careful about is sales taxes. Most dealers will charge you sales tax on your purchase if your eBay account's associated address is in the same state that the dealer normally charges sales tax in....you don't get an exemption just because eBay is facilitating the transaction.

Hi there I bought a couple of coins of ebay and it helped me discover a good bullion dealer just down the road from me, who I now use all the time directly without the ebay fees. There called perth bullion. I visit there store from time to time to save on postage. So what I'm saying is ebay can be a great place to start
