Refiners in Australia

Anyone know of a refiner that would melt down a truck load of silver spoons as an example and turn it into 9995 silver bars for me?

Would like to know what the procedure is and how much they charge.

Thanks in advance.

Tried giving Ainsley a call Roo?, their website says they facilitate this service.
Thanks Clawhammer.. i will.. but think their charges would be a little high for my liking.

Hey Roo,

Before ya do the big smelt on those spoons! Is there any chance of me having a peek at the hallmarks on them?

Cheers

Hi Silver Soul, I was just using spoons as an example. :)

Simon,

Last time I check it was, refining was $25 per raw kg + GST + losses (2%) + bar charge. For sterling item it could be as much as $60-80 fee per KG ASW.

If memory serves me right (Ironchef anyone?), there is a thread somewhere about it.

I would love to locate a good cheap refiner.

Why not try selling the spoons here for the % under spot that you would need to pay to a refiner anyway. Never know your luck!
This silver is from batteries.
