Reducing Expenses - Tips

I havent used credit on so many years that I dont have a score anymore.

The off grid property i just paid off was financed personally by my son's inlaws and my credit was that they know me.

I have applied at a few places, the feed store where I spend alot on my animals, AAA sent me an invitation to apply since im a member and a few others but no luck.
I get turned down for lack of credit score but they will give me a secured card with a limit of $200 if I deposit $40 first.

I dont even know what id use it for, $200 wouldnt pay for anything haha.

When i was 18 years old I had credit cards coming in the mail every day and never had to apply for one.

Now that I actually have money and dont need them I can't get them.

Its so wierd and ive given up for now. Don't really need it, just wanted to build my credit back up.

Anthropologists argue that credit is the oldest form of money.
credit has its uses but only if used correctly many I dare say most don't use it correctly I have a credit card have since I was 18 but have never paid credit card interest I have it just for points and benefits/protections I pay it off monthly and dont buy stuff if I dont have the cash for it

may dont do this and end up paying 20%+ interest. Houses / property is another good use for credit vs renting but I dont want to borrow to to go into debt to have an IP where I could get a bad tenant -- been there dont that not again. So I jsut dump all my spare cash into ETF's atm

I might get a margin loan for leverage at some point but I don't need it. I have super which is growing nicely and salary sacrifice extra into that which is saving some tax.

Debt Equals Slavery - I Choose To Live Free, Not Fancy!

I Realise That Statement Is Above Some People's Level Of Comprehension, So I Will Just Leave It At That.

Anyway, I'm Just Off To Pick Up Some Yellow. Wish Me Luck While You Slave Away In The WorkForce;)

I work with many wage slaves.

Stressed about paying their bills and feeding their kids while they give half their income away to a government that hates them.

Refusal to comply with the IRS has saved me untold amounts of money over the last 20 years, not to mention the stress and anger I would have felt.
I can take 30% of my paychecks, dump it in gold and never look back.

Taxes were by far my biggest unneeded expense you could say.

That's not a strategy that this forum would be comfortable in promoting.

Here a super easy one.

Get petrol spy on your phone (its free) or similar

Before you fill up ideally a day before compare fuel prices, literally takes 30 seconds and its easy to save $20 bucks of more a tank.

who said anything about rent I own my house no mortgage ( was paid off in my 30's) rent money = dead money

Its great you have achieved that, genuinely good on you, many don't in their lifetime.

Now get your head around this next sentence.

I see that as 80% of your house value (in cash) sitting idle doing nothing while your at working trading your time for a set amount of $$ each day, only to come home and sleep in your paid off PPR of which the electronic title is on Pexa, did you know Pexa is a private company in charge of managing all electronic titles in the country.

Regarding pexa.

People put so much value in their mind about paying the family house off, I'm now safe and now one can touch it mentality. All while truly if you don't pay your rates/water/power authorities/land tax or even under compulsory land acquisition your property can be taken off you for a mired of reasons and no you have zero chance saying no.
People put it in there mind Ive paid it off I can't loose it there for I am not willing to risk it and leverage up because I have the paper title. I own it.
Noways you don't even get a paper title, you get and electronic one. On top of that the company that is in charge and manages all electronic title on behalf the the government it a private company, don't think they cant be hacked or make mistakes, no system is perfect.
What I am saying it nothing is truly ever owned, so you may as well leverage up and have a go at making money in property, its not that hard. Playing it safe all the time usually gets you on a aged on pension at best.
