Cleaning out “junk” from the shed found my old record collection from the seventies through to around the nineties

Any suggestions for grading and pricing these?

Yesterday I found and have been using Discogs. So far only researched about a dozen albums ( two hundred more to go ) and may have found one hidden gem AC/DC “ If You Want Blood “ EMI recording with dark blue centre

All constructive advice welcomed.

TIA. Cheer$

Local record shop will give you approx 25-30% of their "worth" but they will take them all in one hit and saves you the hassle of dealing with annoying people. Prices are particularly good right now and record shops are all desperate to get their hands on stock so you may get a bit more than that but if you want to maximise your takings, simply start listing them on ebay.

Loved the 70's/80's comp albums..

Good thread...gotta few boxes of older LP's myself so reading with interest.

I often visit local auction house for weekly auction.

Approximately thirty vintage LP’s up today. So was watching to see who was actively bidding and depth of general interest. Several floor bidders however most went to absentee bids for $20/25. Two albums Goanna and Devo hit $85 and $90 respectively. The auctioneer mentioned he had four absentee bidders on these lots.

Seems to be plenty of interest.
