Rare, Collectable and Vintage Gold Bars.

One of the rarest 1oz bars I managed to source some time ago.
Only available for sale to shareholders of Hill End Gold Ltd and the sale of these bars are strictly allocated to the number of shares you own.
The gold used in the casting of these bars is supposed to be mined by them.

Do ancient treasure hoards qualify for this thread?

I love seeing the pictures of antique worked gold that's been sitting in seawater or been buried for hundreds of years and they're still shiny as new.

200 year old Spanish ship wreck gold:

they showed the clip that top pic was taken from on the cbc doc zone "The Secret World Of Gold". It was on cbc the other day and was a really good documentary cool to see the same pic here.
 
Some very rare gold rounds
I believe these two rounds are probably from the original trial strike while they were doing some fine tuning for the official coins.
As you can see from the XRF tests even the fineness is different (19ct) whereas the released coins was .750 fine gold (18ct)
Weight of these rounds are also uneven. One round weights 32.16 grams; the other 28.07grams

Anywhere I can find more info about Harringtons bars? I googled it and not much info about this bullion company beside a few newspaper advertisements in the 70s and 80s.

Harrington Mettalurgist Pty was an Australian mint that joined with the Perth Mint in the late 1990's.
The Perth Mint is the only major gold refiner in Australia. Its refining operations represent the progressive consolidation (since 1995) of four formerly active LBMA-accredited refiners in Australia:
Australian Gold Refineries;
Johnson Matthey (Aust) Limited;
Golden West Refining Corporation; and
Harringtons Metallurgists Pty Ltd.


Golden West, whose refinery had been established in Perth in 1987 and accredited to the LBMA in 1993, had been a subsidiary of N.M. Rothschild & Sons (Australia) Limited since 1989. In 1995, Golden West had also acquired the assets of Harringtons Metallurgists Pty Ltd, a refiner near Melbourne that had been accredited to the LBMA in 1991.

Pretty sure it's Engelhard. Never seen that one before! I don't think it's Australian, but that's only a hunch.
