Rare, Collectable and Vintage Gold Bars.

Hello Aurora,
Wow. I had searched online and found nothing about Lihir Gold Bars. What great pictures!

I love mine, and am looking at it now.

Thanks for posting those great photos!

Hi guys I recently picked up 2 of these 1oz 99.99 gold buttons by MG (Matthew Garret?) and wondered if anyone could shed some light on where, when and how many were made or if they are still in production.
My reading has turned up ZIP as per normal, so any and all help would be appreciated. I also wouldn't mind any hints as to what they might be worth.

Hi again, thought I would share this 1/2 oz Harrington Australia ingot. It has some reddish coloration in a few spots and is showing some wear but I still think it is quite nice :)

I very much doubt the Matthey Garretts or the Harringtons are still in production - look like 80's bars to me...

Saw one of those half oz'ers in a certain Brisbane coin dealer a while ago - fella wanted spot +12% for it.

My response is not publishable on a public forum... ;)

No probably not on a public forum, everything is spot or spot and a littttle bit! Though now that Paul has shared the history of Harringtons I am even happier I bought the 1/2 oz :)

Great mini bar ...... looks like its been around the block a few times

Just trying to work out how they poured it must have been a 2 piece mold & they cleaned the edge & pour nib off when released because the writing on both sides is raised not stamped.. Its a bit hard to mint something that doesnt have parralel sides.... lol i dont know im just thinking out aloud...... .maybe it is minted

Didn't get a chance to keep it for long. A stacker bought it an hour ago.

I can say that it could very well have been made 2 part mold and pour the gold in the top

Wow!! Beautiful collection of gold bars. They are so beautiful!! I love the 2.5 grams Credit Swisse minted bars and Australian minted bar the most.

I'm sure I banned that account for spam yesterday... might have to have a chat with Bullion Trading LLC about the dodgy Indian SEO company working for them.

^^^ wet me knickers a little bit, very nice indeed.
Loved the casual camera pan at the end over to $60k+ worth of gold... you ballin' hard :D

I loved the pic's

I might be selling some ( heaven forbid ) later this month if the market pulls its pants back up. About 10 oz, bars / bullion coins, it will be in the UK section and maybe fleabay uk

Regards
