It's pretty hard to find a Golden West bar that's centred properly.
This one is about as good as it gets!
At least, it's a nice strong strike!
The one on the right also has a different stamp

ok. I'll see myself out...
Must have been Friday arvo when that one was strucked!
Over the years, I have had collected and sold about 4 - 5 of these bars!
Every one of the examples I bought had some faults.
Strikes that was either too light or stamps that were off centre!
Who ever is responsible for stamping these bars has a "she'll be right " attitude towards work !

Yes, distinctly different typeface on the right bar on both sides. Back has smaller OZ, skinnier 1 but larger text font.
Even this Canada bar has a different "more rounder, fatter" font to the right bar as well, you can really see it in the "O" of Golden and "S" in West.

I really dislike dimples in bars. It looks like someone had pressed a drill bit onto the surface to steal a bit of gold before they resold the bar.
There were quite a few Engelhards that I bought in the past that had this issue; couldn't get rid of them fast enough.
