Does anyone have information on a 250oz Perth Mint bar? I didn't think they produced them in such size.

I have come across this little beauty.
Not really sure of the history of this, internet searches doesn't come up with much but I believe it was made in the 80's having the 99.98 purity.
I am not sure if it is classed as an extruded bar as it is very clean on the sides and bottom (like it has been pressed/stamped) or is a straight cast bar.
If anyone has more info to the history of these bars and willing to share that would be appreciated.

I want a kilo like that. The one we have is just like it but has no serial number, so far I haven't seen one exactly like it on allengelhard.lukemarshall said:

This Johnson Matthey London 100oz poured bar is the only example known (I couldn't find one after several intense online searches LOL) I saw smaller sizes on allengelhard but no 100oz size bars there or anywhere else. I broke my Kilo (latest one included for size comparison) or smaller only rule to grab this one, just over spot was too hard to resist!

Stoic,its not W&N,its W&H. Walker and Hall were Silversmiths in England back in the 1800's.
The W&H hallmark was produced inside a flag back in the 1920's from memory. This bar was most likely a piece that came from New Zealand where Walker and Hall had several jewelry Stores. They still exist in Auckland and have a store downtown,plus one at the airport and the big old store in Nth Auckland. I have met several members of the family over the years and are long generation Jewellers
This bar is most likely a Matthey Garret bar with the WH counterstamp. The font on the bar is similar to several bars that i have in my collection.
The ASS bar is another counterstamp that was applied to CIMET minted bars,also from New Zealand back in the 1980's

but looks like early 'Cimet bars' uploaded in this thread earlier.
In 2016 I noticed a number of 2kg+ poured bars sold on local market with W&H stamp,
(1 with original receipt dating to mid 70s). You can also see this stamp on old-style neck SS pedants.

Another ultra rare Johnson Matthey bar, this time one produced here in the USA. Note how it's much more chunky and compact than the JM London bar, I think we'll be switching back to smaller size bars and newly released coins, but if a really rare JM Canada 100oz bar comes along close to spot all bets will probably be off LOL
