It only took me a fortnight to actually see your mention of the similar crown stamps. They do resemble each other, but I don't think the producers are related. The crown mint bars were made here in the US decades ago, and they are pretty scarce bars now, I've seen them in 5oz and 15oz sizes. Are the SBA bars currently in production?phrenzy said:

With one exception, I wasn't able to hunt down any vintage silver bars at generic prices this week, so we ended up splurging a bit on these . . . I think they're worth it!
3 out of these 4 are on there way to me now....

An awesome find here, the bars under 10 oz do command a nice premium, the .5 oz ones are the most scarce based on my experience. I don't see them turn up often, maybe once a year on ebay.serial said:
