Design-wise? Goat.
Weird how many didn't really like it when it first came out. I immediately thought it was above-average. Not the best one, but above-average.
And now that it's been out for a year? It's since grown on a lot of them.
Monkey design is a bit tougher. Will first have to see customer photos / videos of the BU.
I think others have a good case that it's below-average. I might personally have a slightly higher opinion of it, but not much more, heh. I'm guessing I'll grab at least one of a particular size to add to the ol' PM Lunar collection, and that it's actually not as bad once in-hand.
Dollar-appreciation-wise?
The Monkey might turn out to be a lower mintage year, at least for certain sizes. (If others don't view it the same way, that is, and load up on 'em.)
Meaning, somewhere down the road, some people might be paying bigger bucks for it in order to complete their collection.
I'd diversify between the two, but go a little heavier on the Goat, just because it has more universal appeal..

Wish they had used the goldie's design for Ag..

Funny. I was talking with a member on SS'ers, and we were going back and forth on monkeys and goats. And Provident Metals seem to have (HAD) a price out of whack, based on what we were seeing on eBay, APMEX, Gainesville, etc...especially considering that these entities listed, 'Sold Out at the Mint. (only for the 5 oz).' I found that peculiar. So, I started to load up on the 5 oz coins going for a measley 108.00. And I wanted to buy more this morning, and we could have sworn that there were about a 1000 for sale...and sure enough, I go to make a purchase for more 5 oz'ers, and presto, they were gone.
