Provident Hercules series

Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on the Provident Metals Hercules series? I was not impressed with the first Nemean Lion release but the Zombucks series has done well so I guess it has potential. I love the theme but the design so far is lackluster.

Dccpa is the only person on here that I know is into the series. Could be a sleeper though as there seems to be a lot of coins that have potential to be big sellers.

Thanks House! If the theme catches on you're right it might be a sleeper. The rounds are only available for 1 month so there's a pretty short window. Hopefully the designs get better.

I am also interested in this series. Does anyone know where to source some of these in Australia? Cheers, Taz03

Posted awhile ago at Provident but the mintage numbers for the first coin are tiny, I would have expected a lot more. 6756 for the silver coin. At $3 over spot not sure how they are making much money with these given the die costs, fabrication, marketing, artwork etc with such a small mintage. 2nd coin ends in 3 days.

The first coins I bought and just received are well struck IMO so we shall see where this goes.

I buy as a hobby, and don't know if the Hercules series will be worth more than spot. However, I really like the topic and have a small case to add all of the series (I am getting the proofs).

IMO, the hydra looks fantastic and the lion actually looks better in person. I also got three 5 ounce (2 copper and 1 silver) so I can display both sides of the coin.

These "series" are turning out to be some of my favorite to collect. Partly because I just looked at the promotional card they sent to see then the next in the series comes out. Fun, and really pretty inexpensive compared to buying tubes of ASE.

I am also doing the zombucks and really love putting the coin it replicates next to each one in the set.
