price on kook remints

Just curious to read what people think. I think most would carry similar premiums, but I'm also interested in what people think about the 91 kook at this stage.
 
I sold a 91 kook for like $42 a week or so ago. Other years I sold for $42 also, all 1990's years. I think thats all you can hope to achieve, spot + 100% at the moment.

Thanks, better than I thought to be honest, happy to see they're holding up well.

I have rolls of 91,92,93,94,95,96 kooks if anyone's interested.
 
Here are some key dates off hand:

2008 Kook $80-$120 -I'm sure if you buy in bulk or look hard enough can get cheap
(Gilded 2008 kook is most prized Kook, so happy to own a pair of these beauties)
1990 $65-$100
2009 $55-75
2010 $55-$75 (actually its becoming the hottest kook coin IMO and I really dont know the hell why)

Then after that

2004 and (forgot the other year with low mintage)
Upper $40s

And the rest is like what Matthew says

Also I don't track prices on privys and stuff of that nature. The proof kooks don't excite me much either.

Thanks Clubman but I've been checking the auctions for awhile on these coins and its been near impossible to get em in the low to mid $40s here in the US (including S&H)I lost out twice in an auction on these freaky coins.

2008 kooks once and a blue moon can be had for $60s but again, that starts to get expensive especially with silver in $20s

Believe it or not the 2009 kooks have been
Easier to get than then 2010s. Apmex has been sold out for ages on 2010 kooks.

08- $55 to $75
09- $45-60
10- $45-60
90 kook- $60 to as high as $90s (yes, I actually seen an auction go that high)

Looks like the 08 kook dropped a bit in value.
90 kooks still hold up pretty good. I find it hard to believe that the 90 kooks is the top kook to get?

You find it hard to believe the 1990 kook is the hardest to get? why is that?

It's the oldest kook and there were no remints. Factor in that there would be significant numbers that did not stand the test of time and it all makes sense to me.

You know what really baffles me? 2008,2009 & 2010 kooks being worth any more than the rest.

Actually its not that hard to believe in retrospect. It was mainly the 08s and the 90 kook that were the tops. Online sites and ebay usually sold the 08s at a higher price than the 90 but yes, it made logical sense as far as mintage and being first in the series that the 90 should have been the better choice.

I know people really liked the 08 design (actually its my favorite design as well).
As far as the the 08-10 kooks being of high value, what do you think?

What do I think about them being the most expensive? it makes no sense to me really, 300k young Silver coins, the vast majority of which would still be in perfect condition. I would say the coins from the 90s should be more expensive, even if the designs are not as attractive.
But of course collectors are a weird bunch and common sense doesn't always prevail.

Personally I hold far more kooks from the 90s than I do any recent years and I feel much safer with that investment. The stupid 08,09,10 fad will die and when people are trying to complete a set 5 years from now they'll be looking for people like myself. There is far less of us than the 08,09,10 collectors.
