A websearch for
"Elizabeth our queen" silver bars OR ingots
brings some results, but with a large price range: It seems to have been sold at some auction for 340 (end of 2011), a bullion dealer offers it for 950, an eBay-auction has a "buy now" price of 650, and somewhere someone said that it's usually melt value... (Sorry, this probably does not help too much, but maybe you find some more profound information based on that...)

Can you provide individual or gross weight for the ingots? That would give people a start point.

It is a nice set but in the current market it may be difficult to get much more than spot for it.
The fact that it is sterling and doesn't appear to be a limited edition is probably not going to help matters.

yep, it's 26 gram each from my pocket scale :)

25 bars * 26grams = 650grams

650/1000 *925 =601.25grams ASW

/31.1
=19.33oz pure silver
X spot ($26.46aud)

= AUD$511.50 Spot value.

Not sure what the premium would be on this one.
There is an auction from last year with an identical set(?). Not sure what the final price was but it was listed with an estimate of $600-$800 and a starting price of $450. Bear in mind Spot has changed a little since then.

thanks heaps cobber :)

Hi Nic,

Limited appeal as has no functionality unlike many other sterling items which can be used, appreciated and enjoyed e.g. flatware, vestas, card case, candelabra, tea pot, etc.
Should be fairly easy to find a refiner who will buy for scrap price i.e. price in mickjohn's calculation.

Really need to be a keen "royalist" to appreciate this.

Are you selling it?

hi Sulla, yes, i am planning to sell the whole lot plus few other coins together. SPOT price is ok but i do not cover postage as that walnut box cost me a lot extra expenditure.: )
