Hey Stackers,

Looking around the place at the moment I can see really hefty differences in the lunars from ebay, gumtree, dealers and in the sales threads both between various years, and some pretty wild fluctuations on the same ones just from different places.

Any ideas whats a realistic price?
Which ones are the most sought after?
Whats normal for individual vs full rolls? Full 12 coin set?

Most of coins are between 40-50, I would say $45 each except OX and Tiger. They can be ranged from 50 to 60.

Actually I was able to source the last of these after a fairly long (Slowly rising) WTB / Trade thread back in April.

Ended up buying from dealers as their prices were cheaper than offers I was getting here...
Oddly, I was offered less for Dragons (no-privy) I was trading, than I was being asked for Dogs, Roosters, Monkey's and Pigs.

Thought the later years would be easier to source but nobody was willing to let them go cheap.

I'd think Spot +50% is the bare minimum you'd get those more recent & less converted ones.
2x Spot for the older and hoarded ones, like the Tigers + Ox, wouldn't surprise me.

@Holdfast: Yep, $915 is a solid premium for the lot in a box: 245%
@heartastack: Yeah your not wrong, at the end of the day though; only so many change hands.
@Flyinfree: Are you looking to sell?

just let you know that I have sold 5 sets ( missing the last two animals) at less than $400 a few years ago (here). I only has one set now, they are in a box for my own collection.
 
No worries.
Not sure if the S2 are expected to appreciate like the S1 did over time.
I guess only time will tell.
