With the physical movement restrictions, intensifying police powers and strange economic practices.

In this current system where it looks like we may see a slow death to money as we know it. It looks as if its possible with this new system that none of our existing assests will translate. As it looks like what we are moving to is total control over money, movement and speech.

I have no doubt it my mind that they are going to push a digital currency on the masses in Australia & worldwide: centrally-controlled & everything monitored. I call it slavery. Nothing fast-tracks that more than the global fear they have fed the masses (and continue to). Mandatory vaccinations, ever-pervasive surveillance, more criminal UN powers, surveillance of virtually every activity...all under the umbrella of 'keeping everyone safe'. It's the new world (dis)order.

They have closed down the global economy because they want the masses to accept their slavery willingly after being exposed to really 'bad times'. The things that I have been hearing are that in October we will see some really major stuff happening.

The slow death to money as we know it isn't really slow. I went to JB Hi-Fi a few weeks ago and they refused to accept cash. Never did I think that would happen so quickly. The only 'way out' I see is with some of the private crypto systems that are out there now to replace cash without State Mafia ties. In other words, becoming your own bank and getting others to join you.

I agree - I'm beginning to come to realisation that the biggest and best part gold has to play is as a collateral to ensure the smooth transitioning into the new digital world. If we are, as a human race, to continue our growth exponentially into the future, the physical will have to take a back seat as the march toward the digital plane continues long into the future.
 
The govt offices here are the ones refusing cash , trying to make it the new norm.

And on the dollars they issue to us it says "For all debts public and private."

except we can't continue exponential growth into the future in a world of finite resources.

if you keep subtracting 1 from 1000 eventually you end up at 0.

Who said anything about resources? Energy is all we need and energy is never destroyed it merely transitions from one form to another. So no we do not live in a finite world
 
so that energy magically transforms into the form we need it in and is transported to point of use without resources? last time i checked renewable energy involves square kilometers of solar panels, thousands of wind turbines and large scale dams. they magically just appear too?

what do we use all this free energy for in a world exhausted of resources to utilise it?

You are living in the past and present mate. Who knows what is possible exponentially into the future. Your 'finite' resources may become near depleted - but when? 100 years? 200 years? look at how far we have come in the last 10 so imagine the next 10 and then the 10 after that.. get the point?
 
i know exponential growth isn't possible.

lets expand population to say 2000 trillion people. wouldn't be enough freshwater for everyone to survive. maybe we could build desalination plants with our endless resources and free energy just so we can all have a glass of water.
 
well things can grow bloody huge before they stop. looks at the universe as an example..

what makes you think we've come anywhere near our limit?
