Recently I ended up with a 100oz silver bar and have decided it is way too ugly, so ugly if fact I might have to use it as a door stop :P. The reason I'm sharing my misfortune is I have no idea who poured it, and was hoping someone could help identify the stamp for me. The letters in the stamps on the top of the bar are grouped in 2 lots of 3 letters, spelling "HAR-TON" (The little stamp is identical to the larger.). The stamp on the bottom is unreadable. Also in the bottom photos you can see 2 rather large 'stains'. Looks like some sort of oxides or silicates. I've googled the stamp long and hard across the interwebs with with out any luck, so any help is muchly appreciated.

Thanks for the replies guys. You've made one very anxious stacker feel a lot more comfortable about his purchase :). Maybe I won't use it as a door stop after all :P. I think its great that their is so much precious metals experience bouncing around this forum. Very muchly appreciated.

Harrington - now that's a connoisseurs' bar if ever I saw one...

Nice work Emanace, I believe there's some nice 1kg Harringtons floating around Brisbane if your looking for any to accompany it.

Haha, I had to do the same with my Harrington bar a while back!

Life would be a lot more easier if they didn't make us play 'Pictionary' with the damn company logo
