Platinum has been selling fairly well lately and there are a lot of people who think otherwise.
I have yet to see any facts or figures in this thread claiming that Platinum is common and not a rare precious metal. Lets see the facts please rather than your strong opinion which quite frankly is a turn off when you act like a know it all.
If you can be convinced its a good idea to wear a mask and take a shot im sure you can be convinced that platinum is not a precious metal.
Just to clear this up for anyone new - Platinum is a precious metal according to AI, Google, and everyone In the industry of jewelry, coins, and bullion.
The actual definition here below. "High economic value, luster, corrosion resistance, and conductivity...all of which Platinum has.

Platinum — one of the worst trades I ever made.
When platty and gold achieved parity around 2015 I traded a 10 ounce gold bar for ten one ounce platapussys.
(And also paid a $100 premium on the trade)

My 2 cents on platinum, this is by no means for or against platinum as an investment.
If you are spending thousands buying platinum, you might as well buy the real thing, ie gold, not the substitute
In a SHTF scenario where you need to relocate in a hurry or you are in a currency collapse, is the person you are exchanging with likely to accept platinum over gold for trade?
For accolades, achievements and awards, first place is gold, second is silver, third is bronze.
In Super Mario Bros, Mario collects 100 gold coins to add an extra life, when Mario collects a gold star, he becomes invincible.
Pirates, sunken ships, dragons, caves, mythological stories about hidden and lost treasure largely involves gold and is depicted as including only gold.

Platinum was introduced as a reward scheme for a credit card, gold is a reward scheme for exiting fiat.
