I have been stacking silver as I like the whole concept of amassing treasure, similar to pirate tales...

I saw this on an auction site, and it resembles fair dinkum pirate treasure. I was wondering if any silver stacker know where I can purchase silver ingots similar to the one below. I have searched the entire seven seas of the internet and cannot find any....

No, an XRF would be interesting. Its from 1759, it would undoubtedly contain significant impurities. The question remains, does anyone know where to purchase such items.

I see someone bought that with 320 EUR (winning bid) and I'm also wondering whether it's genuine.

"Pirate treasure" or not, it sure looks old. Or a good craftsman was playing around and overstamped it. Added some wear to it...

Hi
I would like to see some sources for this. To my understanding, burying/hiding valuables was a common practice in times of war/imminent danger. In that time usually hollow spaces in building would have been used.

museum pieces not easy to come by, double headed eagle bar

I know a guy that thought he found cannonballs in a cave in arizona, ended up being big balls of silver. From the Spaniards I presume but not pirates haha.

Sounds like an Indiana Jones experience in a remote area. These are rarer nowadays, because of the ferocious globalization that spreads everywhere.

Was it a big find? I suppose he had to "donate" the metalic meatballs to ze government.

There was 7 or 8 I think he said but hes a gold miner so he already knew better than to report it.
He still has them last I knew, recasted into bars by now probably haha. Hes no idiot.
I just saw the pics of it.

There is still alot to be found in AZ and Nevada both.
