Silver will tarnish,oxide and get grubby finger marks on the faces which will effect resale.
 
Legendary though I cringed at his final "now I've got to spend the next two and a half hours putting all this stuff back away"!!! Would you buy from this fellow? LOL
 
Silver is Silver.
If you approach as an Investor then sure you wouldn't entertain buying.
If you approach as a Hedger then sure you will buy.

Personally, I would still buy off him, minus the premiums, and only for spot or 10 dozen sunny eggs.

Yeah it can effect resale... some of the highest value per oz bars are old, tarnished and have been handled for yonks :P probably won't be the case with this fella's silver but.

I want way more coins just so I can run my dirty fingers through the hair of my silver beauties.
 
I've got one dream and only one that I'm working towards and that's to have a few kg's of sovereigns, francs, roosters etc in a old cloth bag and a vision of sitting around when I'm 60/70 yr's old with all my kids and grandchildren and to be able to hand out one each to my grand kids.
I can just see these little tackers in the lounge room in the year 2042 with a little gold coin with dates from the 1800's.
My kids know about silver and gold and enjoy looking at all the bars of gold and and silver coins.
I don't think that in another 30 odd years I'll have as much as I've got now but I will have that big bag of old gold coins :)

Interesting point and a nice dream -------------- interesting in that it is the only investment you can make now and be certain that it will be worth something when you are that age ------------

Out of interest, how do you guys store bars?
I've started bubble wrapping them but obviously not easy to stack neatly. Looked online for capsules similar to the ones used for coins but didn't find anything. Capsules allowing 1kg bars to be stacked nicely would be quite useful

They're bars they have little or no numi value and premium is defined by size not condition, most I have seen looks war weary because if anyone cared about appearance they would not be stacking bars. So in short stack em on top of each other
