Don't get sucked in guys - these are classic scams, I know an Australian businessman who lost $20k+ in a similar scam in the dive industry, saw dollars before sense.

Ghana seems to be a hotbed of gold related scams.

lol 1/20th of a tonne of gold to send to an Australian dealer via Fedex, DHL?

Has he even got enough to pay for insurance to ship it here?

His step father has 1 quarter of a tonne, lol. The Gold Rush Alaska series had a hard time getting a quarter of a kilo.

I don't get the logic of these scams? seriously you must be really dumb to fall for it. I mean are they hoping to spam 10 million people, hoping just 1 person will fall for it? 10 million to 1 chance?

W.Davis had 2 phonecalls in 2 days about a month ago
1st phone call
I have 200kg of gold in greece, how much would you give me for it.Peter hangs up on him
2nd phone call
We have 250 cubic tonnes of gold
Peter hangs up again
CK thought the 250 tonnes could have been from Libya
Anybody want to get caught with the Libyian gold

Enquiries of those sizes can be legitimate... 200kg is only $11m - but bugger wiring money to Ghana for it without every single bar having been delivered, XRF'd, SG tested, drilled and assayed!

Honestly, how many people bother to read past the first or second line? It practicly has SCAM highlighted in neon flashing lights.

I love a good 419 scam - I got one from some guy saying he had Michael Jackson's fortunes to give to me, another was the FBI director saying someone was using my name to get funds... they are a classic ain't they??

I've replied to a few sometimes just for fun.. I have one that i replied to - the dude was asking if I was dead. can I put it here? or maybe somewhere else

Poor guy he has a step father that refuses to pay his school fees because he's not his biological son :(

Oh well at least his step dad cared enough to give him 50 kilo's of gold even if he won't pay school fees

I am always getting spam because of my gold nugget website (not been updated for years), used to be a lot from Nigeria but now a lot from Africa wanting to sell enormous quantities of gold which I just delete, but this morning I got an unusual one - from Florida but it says email sent 7 September? That is a bit suspicious to start with - maybe it got intercepted by FBI or one of those agencies looking into money laundering. This guy says he has investors wanting to invest in gold nuggets and can I supply him $15 - 20,000 worth twice a month preferably 2-3 gram size nuggets!
Of course I can't supply him!
But I was thinking - maybe there could be a move into investing in natural gold nuggets if there is a ban on gold bullion sales in the USA?

I listened to that interview with James Turk (last one listed here cant rememeber name of guy) and the guy said (- I think he was talking about Europe) that they have to stop investments in other asset classes such as gold - could this happen - a ban on gold bullion sales? If it happened in one country it would probably be taken up by other countries.

Only $11m? pfffa. Now, let me check my wallet. $8m, $9 m, $10 m, $10.5m ...... damn! just a bit short. Can I start a quick thread to raise the money? I'm good for it.... I'll even send you some of the gold as a thankyou.
On a semi- serious note, I love getting these emails; I so
sometimes play one scammed off against the other .... it can be real fun.

Confidence scam - get you to send the money for payment. They send painted bricks if anything.
