NNNOOICE !!! ( that is bogan for nice mate thanks)...lol

Hi guys I'm curios as I have some type b bars. what is their going rate and also I have one that is exactly 10.00 ounces does that make it more valuable. I have 5 of these bars all with individual serial numbers on the back too.

Thanks in advance. :)

I'm trying to figure out if this 50oz is a type a or b. I know that technically it's neither since the type a and b are 10oz bars distinguished by their shape, but this is obviously from the same time period as one or the other. I suppose it's possible they only had one shape for the 50oz during the time they produced the a and b 10oz.

If we can't assign it to a particular pattern, I dub thee the A type 50oz perth mint bar:

"THE PERTH MINT AUSTRALIA"
stamped:
FINE 999
OZs (odd weight)

Serial on reverse.

Example:

Got a 10 oz F bar from PB this week, they must have only had one as they are not listed now.

Anyway its my first swirly bar even though not collectable. :)

Looking at your first pic does the 10 oz matt, short and long have swirls as well like my F gloss?

I only have so far E F and G bars.

Congrats!

They had a bunch for a while -- kilo's, too.

Maybe they'll get more in sometime, who knows.

While might not be as much of a collectible as certain other vintage PM bars, it's not exactly like it's a current bar, either.

Would like to see them, along with some others, added to the allengelhard site sometime..

These are Type F

The 10 oz Matt & Gloss is a known as Swirl bars - Class of its own. - if you find a Perfect ones than its a Keeper.

You can get Type F short & long in swirls but not as distinctive finishes as above mention.
If you compares the Loaves they all are different.

Do you really have Type E ? This one a lot people get confused with them.

I suppose it could be an F as well? I will look at them today.

What distinguishes an E from an F.

Come to the Perth Meeting, I will tell you there.
The meeting is for those that are keen.

Ok chip not sure my bars are what I thought lol

#1, 10 oz swirly matt is the widest and thickest with left facing swan
#2 ,10 oz shiny is shorter and narrower than #1 withleft facing swan
#3, 10 oz shiny same length same thickness but narrower than #1 right facing swan (new style)

#2 is narrower than both #1 and # 3 with #1 being the widest
