I would say its my favourite coin, its very shiny and doesn't tarnish like silver.

I believe the Platypus is only found in AU and that is a great coin. I may have to get one.

Nope, only found in Australia.

The "Australian" part is a common theme the Perth Mint seem to be putting on all their bullion coins. You can see it on the 2011 "Australian Koala", the "Australian Kookaburra", the "Australian Kangaroo", etc.

I haven't got one yet, but I'm saving up for it. My favorite design by one of my favorite designers (Hence my nickname here)

Illustrating identical artistry each year, the feature design is bordered by the inscriptions AUSTRALIAN PLATYPUS, the year-date, and the weight and purity of the coin.

Pretty sure they sell them in the Perth Mint Shop - at least, that's where I've seen them

They're all 1oz. There's older platinum coinage like Koalas that were as small as 1/20oz, but the Platypus are all 1oz.
