Perth Mint Phoenix

Purchased ($ 79 each) the 2 coloured Phoenix Coin yesterday, they look very nice they come in a card a bit larger than the other Perth Mint carded coins.

On the reverse side of the card it says “no more than 1,000 (red gold coloured) & 1,000 (vivid coloured) coins in this card package “

and then in the table which gives Technical Specifications it say maximum mintage 5,000 ? So not sure of the figures. Or
there may be 3 more different coloured coins planned ?

Does anyone know if this the 1st Phoenix coin produced by the Perth Mint ?

I think the 1,000 figure refers to the carded coin, while the 5,000 figure includes an additional 4,000 uncarded coins.

Perth Mint made a ‘Dragon and Phoenix’ coin in 2017 and 2019, if that counts.

The carded Phoenix have sold for $ 95 on eBay this week.
