Perth Mint Phoenix

Hi guys,
So the Perth Mint released their phoenix coin today. It went out of stock as I was making my order!

Anyone know where to score some or if they are releasing more stock? Surely all 40,000 didn’t sell out just today?!

thanks

I saw that also Pixiu. It Said it was restricted to Australian Sales only with a mintage of 40k

I was thinking it may have been a dealer exclusive like LPM or Apmex, may not be. Doubt if it would sell out with half an hour. Someone may have pushed the "Lets jump the Gun" button

Online purchases were capped at 20 so I don’t think it was a dealer. Hopefully they release some more tomorrow. I’ll post an update if I score any

Your profile pic (taken from the old perth mint website I know) represents everything the Perth Mint is at the moment. When I was there the other week they were struggling serving 3 of us as if there were 1000 people there. Something is going on with their resourcing, possibly covid related.

LPM advertises them as their 'exclusive'.

"We are thrilled to announce our latest exclusive collaboration with The Perth Mint to bring you these stunning coins featuring one of the most auspicious animals in the Chinese culture, the phoenix! An ancient symbol of honesty benevolence and knowledge, the mythical phoenix’s rare appearances were believed to herald forthcoming happiness, harmony, and prosperity. "

Well that explains why they may have sold out. If LPM have 40000, Australia may have only got 4000 being 10percent held back for us. They may have added an extra 0 to the webpage by mistake

By making them not available people would want them more. :p
A Sales Stunt. ;)
There are many other coins that doesn't come in set or have forgotten to make them because of unpopular sizes?
I give this a miss this time, eventhough low mintage.

The cult of exclusivity

Purchased ($ 79 each) the 2 coloured Phoenix Coin yesterday, they look very nice they come in a card a bit larger than the other Perth Mint carded coins.

On the reverse side of the card it says “no more than 1,000 (red gold coloured) & 1,000 (vivid coloured) coins in this card package “

and then in the table which gives Technical Specifications it say maximum mintage 5,000 ? So not sure of the figures. Or
there may be 3 more different coloured coins planned ?

Does anyone know if this the 1st Phoenix coin produced by the Perth Mint ?

Likewise they look great, I bought 2 tubes and an extra 1 so I can admire this year's model without breaking any open it's only silver that's attracted my eye in awhile
I thought they were limited to 1 tube per customer.
What's your secret? I want in!!

I don't go thru the mint anymore there website is slow and tedious I bought thru jaggards in Sydney for afew extra cents :)

Also allows me to indulge impulse buys at midnight instead of waiting for slow service, and "business hours" lol. Far as I know there only limited by ordered stock not numbers per customer 2 was a decent deal within $ I wanted to spend at the time. Def relate to the interest in the product

Noted & currently adding to existing calculations.
It would definitely be worth it if I could bypass purchasing limits!!
