nah it wont be... i remember the tiger and the rabbit version still says "Perth Show Special" (or words that that effect) on it

Just because in previous years it was only at the Perth show doesn't prevent Perth Mint from releasing multiple versions this year.
They haven't published any rules or whatever stating that they won't.

I bet there would be some pressure from ANDA to release similar coins at every other show - it would certainly boost their attendance fee take considerably in each city.

when i left at around 12.00 there was probably around 40 left. they definitely sold more than 100 today. i think there must of been around 250.

Yeah that would be bloody right.... Well done to all who got one.

From those details you would say forget the first day and just cruise in on the second ?

Does that mean the remainder will be sold at the next ANDA show or sold from the mint?

Just noticed one listed on eBay for $1199.95 + postage
230756046047 not a bad profit! (if it sells).

I was told by more than 1 dealer that Monday they will be listed at $999.

Just wondering why are we paying that much attention to this coin? I thought we are stacking silver and not boxes and coa's:))

I am sure you already know the answer to this, but for the newbs reading the thread...

Lots of people stack for lots of reasons, lots of stackers stack for several reasons and have different stacks.

We know that there are people out there who want CoAs and boxes even more than we do and are willing to pay for them. They are called numismatists and will buy the same coin over and over again if you make a slight change to it or put it in a pretty box.

As long as there are numismatists out there, and as long as there are coins advertised as limited editions there will be a market. You will notice that most people are trying to get them at issue price, that way they can be sold for a profit, or even added to a collection for a reasonable price. Only a few are trying to buy them at the elevated prices, (they are probably numismatists).

Hey - my father in law collects matchbox cars - and he has been know to buy the same car with a different box or paint colour for many more $$$ than I would pay for a matchbox car.

Whatever floats your boat.

I too have been known to buy the same coin with 5 different mint marks or in an overprinted folder, all in a moment of weakness!

Good to hear there was plently available today. I do find it hard to believe that the majority would be sold to dealers when they are advertised by anda as show specials which inturn get more people to come along. It would be counter productive for the organizers to allow that to happen.

i heard of a dealer offering the ANDA dragons before the ANDA show. They were reserved for customers.

That's just messed up ... life's too short to worry about it though - leave it too karma

I can put my left nut up for auction for $2 million, doesn't mean someone will buy it.
