Cheaper + Silver = Scam. Just be happy with bullion clubs price they are very good. OR buy a 1000oz block and get it for spot :D

Nobody sells at spot

i often read this here and it's just plain wrong. In the last 2 years I must have bought at below spot a dozen or more times. Sure you are not going to be buying Lunar coins at below spot, but make no mistake... silver below spot can be found - e.g. junk silver, foreign coins, uninformed sellers, etc.

The only stuff you will get around spot is either enormous bars 5+Kg or pre decimal australian currency

Coins are significantly cheaper if you do not buy them from the perth mint.

Bars at the perth mint are reasonably priced but their shipping is horrendous and it's often easier and possibly cheaper to buy them from resellers.

as hiho said, check out the forum sponsors or buy something from a trading thread

Clarification: nobody running a business sells at spot.

I've picked up a fair amount of stuff below spot as well, but you'll never find quality bullion at a reputable dealer going that cheaply.

if you buy below spot I can almost guarentee you'll be selling the junk at the same premium ;)

Wrong again. I've bought at significantly below spot from a large business with a website, big name, etc. Though I'm not refering to .9999 silver (of course).

Buy at whatever price. Forget you bought it for a few weeks. Spot goes up a few bucks, then remember you bought silver. Wasn't that a good buy? You bought below spot, you smart investor you :)

And I've sold at spot before.
So yea, it's possible, at least when trading with individuals.

buying below spot was possible in small quantity once in a while,

I bought at half spot for 2 coins from two separate individuals on eBay BN. one is local coin 5oz another one was 2 oz kooka.

paying at spot for a 1000oz from Comex is possible as well, but need to pay a bit of fee on top, ie $50 paper fee and $250 security fees then shipping fee as well.

never offer a seller below spot, as the capsules itself cost money!

Yes buying at or below spot is possible but, honestly, most people would not be interested in doing it

It requires considerable time, effort and research
You are not in control of timing - you have to buy when the opportunity arises, not when it suits your cash flow or when you think the price is right
And in general you have to buy stuff others are not interested in - which can be difficult to sell - even to dealers for below spot
It has also become more difficult to do as more people join the game and look for the same bargains

And the most important of all, keeping your mouth shut :)

But spannermonkey is right in part - If you want to make regular, convenient purchases of the sort of stuff in demand, you are not going to find anybody selling anywhere near spot.
