Panda 's are dead in the water

Starting to come to similar point of view.

In Europe the Antelope and all its milk spot issues is priced about 18% higher at present than a 2013 panda and they're minting IMO is garbage in comparison but the market is talking.

The panda in previous years would have been a good 20% higher than it is now in most dealers. I really like the design too but this has to me the 8 million thing for me?

Well I got a few them last week - not completely unwanted.

Might have to go back and get the rest if nobody wants them.

I was offered 2013yoi for $28/oz shipped and moved on as for stacking purposes it is too much of a premium ... as of collection - one is enough

earlier years are still possess the premiums though I'm not for high premium or MS69 slabbed ones and cannot judge on them ... one of a kind is enough to make me happy
 
People are buying bullion because its "on sale", when spot goes up the panda market will go crazy again.
I am 25% down on bullion & 15% up on panda.
Bullion panda are not a good buy, graded comes with a better chance of being genuine.
 
I personally think when gold and silver takes off the pandas will be in hot demand. There are 1.3 billion Chinese who will want their pandas. If someones wants to sell me some at $28 shipped I'd take them.
 
The market is still healthy from what I can tell, though I wouldn't be investing as heavily on recent years now that the mintage limit is insanely high.

I think now is the time to be chasing those older pandas, anything you can get you hands on for under $45oz
We're in a little lull, but that's mainly a result of PMs doing jack recently.
 
Someone must be getting bored with bullion not moving much lately.

Both sold for $37AUD and $36AUD each.

That person being unable to move Pandas is probably a greater reflection on him than with the Pandas.

His comment "Buy local products" is probably the funniest thing I've read here for a while. He should go and do that :)

I disagree heartily, they are doing well in North America, holding their premiums, in addition to being the first year with three pandas on it.

I like the pandas. Can't get enough of them at these prices. Not that long ago I remember they were selling for 37 each here in the UK and now you can pick them up for 20-21, including VAT.

I can understand the concern over the increased mintage but think it's a real possibility that in future years an 8 million mintage will seem quite a bit smaller in comparison. In a few years they may be punching a good 20-30 million of these out a year? Time will tell.
 
In addition to which, just because they say 8 million mintage, doesnt mean they will mint all 8 million. There have been rumblings that there were not even close to 6 million minted last year
 
I am not having any problems selling any of my Pandas.

This week I sold a

1989 Proof I paid $65 for on ebay went for $100

1889 BU in OMP I paid $60 for on ebay went for $75

1997 BU in Cap I paid $50 for on ebay went for $65

2003 BU in Cap I paid $65 for on ebay went for $ 87

1990 BU in OMP I paid $70 for on ebay went for $100

These are just examples from last week. I have not sold a Panda in the past few months during this downturn that has not made me a profit.

I am turning around and buying more Pandas either Rare or common 2013's. In fact I bought a couple 2013's just last week for $27.50 shipped.

I also picked up a BU 1993 Large Date today for $130...the coin has high luster with pl fields and no contact marks on the coin whatsoever.

The only Panda coin you could have possible lost money on would be the 2013's and the current pandas follow spot just like the Kookaburra's, ASE's, Britannias, Maples, and other world coins of the current year.

I will be converting more profits to bullion and coins this week as well.

For the next week i will sell old China Silver Fat mans, Junk Dollars, and Hong Kong British Trade Dollars...then convert to Bullion at $20/troy oz.
